Organic Kachalú Coffee - Ground coffee

Coffee of exceptional quality from the jungles of the interior of Colombia. With a strong, slightly spicy character and intense sweetness, it stands out for having a mixture of caramel and chocolate aromas, accompanied by a touch of sweet fruits.

“Hope”, that is what the 15 local coffee producers had in mind who 20 years ago decided to form a coffee cooperative in Colombia: Kachalú, which literally means “Hope”. They hoped to be able to carry out not only a business, but a philosophy: coffee could be produced in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way, helping to maintain the rich ecosystem of the jungle and avoiding altering the exuberant biodiversity of the place.

With this hope for the environment, the cooperative managed to overcome the coffee crisis and maintain its original location in the middle of the Colombian jungle. But not only did they manage to maintain themselves, but they also currently produce one of the natural coffees most recognized for its flavor and quality.

Furthermore, in 2002 Kachalú decided to get involved in environmental education in the region, so he started an educational project to educate new generations about the importance of sustainable coffee growing.
